About Marc Lucca For Post Falls City Council

Marc Lucca is a conservative candidate running for a seat on the Post Falls Idaho city council. With a strong focus on traditional values and community-driven policies, Marc is dedicated to upholding the principles that make our city great.

Marc's approach to governance is rooted in accountability and transparency. By actively engaging with the community and prioritizing their concerns, Marc aims to bring about positive and meaningful changes that benefit all residents.

Too often, we elect leaders who claim conservative values—only to watch them change once in office. Marc Lucca is not one of them.

He has a proven record of working to change the system, not letting the system change him.
For over 20 years, Marc has been a conservative activist fighting for our values:

-
Reducing the cost and scope of government
-
Reforming our broken immigration system
-
Championing the rights of the unborn
-
Pushing for fiscal restraint
-
Preserving our Second Amendment rights
-
Defending our American heritage
-
Fighting for medical freedom
…and more.

Marc is a husband, homeschool dad, Trail Life scout leader, church volunteer, Bible college graduate, and Commissioner for the Ross Point Water District. He’s served as a deputy sheriff, worked in party and legislative politics, owned a small business, and now manages operations in the protective services sector.
Like many of us, Marc is concerned by the rapid pace of growth and change in Post Falls. He believes our city deserves a more deliberate, thoughtful approach...one that protects our character and prepares wisely for the next generation.
Marc Lucca is ready to serve again, and he’d be honored to earn your vote.

I believe government exists to serve the people - not the other way around. Its role is to protect individual rights, enforce laws fairly, and ensure transparency in how public resources are used. In short, our rights come from God, and government's job is to protect those rights.
My whole political life has been based on restoring our constitutional republic, a system designed to safeguard liberty through checks and balances—not majority rule alone. So I believe in a limited government and empowered citizens.
I fully support the First Amendment, including the right to speak, worship, and petition without government coercion or punishment. I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment as a cornerstone of personal liberty and community safety. Lawfare, or the weaponizing of the legal system for political ends, is always wrong as it undermines equal protection and erodes trust. Every citizen deserves fair treatment under the law, regardless of ideology.
Locally, I oppose the use of eminent domain for government's development schemes. It should only ever be for legitimate public need, and only when all other options are exhausted. Our property rights are foundational.
In Post Falls, overdevelopment, especially without design standards, risks turning our city into Anywhere, USA. We must preserve North Idaho’s character while managing growth with intention - not haste. That means Urban Renewal Districts should be used carefully, so as not to show favoritism or allow development to shift costs to the taxpayers. High-density zoning should be used sparingly, so we can ensure that infrastructure keeps pace with population.
I support low taxes, and oppose policies that drive the need to increase them. Growth should pay for itself over time, not saddle longtime residents with rising costs and traffic congestion. We must budget with discipline, prioritize public safety, and invest in durable infrastructure...not just vanity projects.
On cultural issues, I reject divisive ideologies like critical race theory and DEI that sort people by race or identity, acting as a cover for institutionalized bias. I oppose sexually explicit materials being available to children...anywhere...and won't allow it in our city. Youth deserve protection, not politicization or corruption by adult profiteers...especially when it comes to irreversible life decisions, privacy in restrooms and changing areas, and the protection of girls' sports. I am also unashamedly pro-life, from conception to natural death.

Post Falls has been growing fast. We need leaders who will steward our growth with respect both for the people who built this community, and those who have only recently arrived with hope for a better life for their families. I’m running to ensure our future reflects our values of Faith, Family, and Freedom, and I would be honored to earn your vote.
May God bless Post Falls, the State of Idaho, and our great American Republic.
